Hi Guys! Welcome to my blog.
So the story goes… At the start of 2016, I had successfully completed my contract and served as a Youth development Coordinator for the past three years; I had just become an Australian citizen. I thought to myself that I needed a new challenge that will allow me to expand my knowledge and, provide me with new skills so I can keep exploring the world, while learning, empowering others and making a significant change around me. I have a deep passion about mentoring, music, different languages & culture. After speaking to a Professor of University (CDU) in the Department of International studies, we decided that it was best for me to first enrol in the GCEI (Graduate Certificate of Education International) course. This aims to help me refresh my memory as I have been, academically speaking, on the sideline for few years. upon completing a semester in this course, I will then move onto doing a year of MEDI (Master of Education International).
Each day more than 1 billion students around the world go to school. but the school and the tools they used are becoming more and more disconnected from the students the serve. Educational systems around the global are failing to prepare students to become successful adults. From Africa, America, Australia, Asia to Europe, the new generation experience the same issues, such as Students absenteeism - lack of learning material resources at home - lack of parental involvement - excessive TV Watching… We (Teachers, Parents, Mentors…) need to find groundbreaking ideas to improve young people's' education. I would love to be part of the movement and contribute to the best of my abilities to a better education worldwide, with a special focus in my native country Cameroon in particular and, in Africa in general.

Why did I choose the GCEI & MEDI ?
I'll examine education systems from around the world to understand how other countries have responded to rapid social and economic change and the challenges of globalisation.
Whether you are a teacher, an education leader, NGO worker or a policy maker, this program will help bring knowledge of international education policy to work, enriching organisation and broadening career choices.
The more globalisation impacts on education policy and practice, the more relevant this perspective becomes. This course also offers the chance to join a study tour to selected countries, where students will probe the relationship between education and training systems and their provision, as well as attend seminars presented by eminent scholars.
What I Will Learn:
- Demonstrate and employ a solid understanding of responsibilities that come with being an international professional and an educational expert.
- Demonstrate skills for working effectively in international and multinational settings.
- Design, implement, manage and evaluate international education programs in schools, colleges, foundations, multinational corporations, and public and private educational and cultural agencies.
- Apply theoretical, conceptual and methodological advances in the humanities and the social sciences to the analysis of international educational policies and institutions.
- Develop an understanding of education policies and issues on a global scale.
- Examine education and training policy development, leadership, implementation and review.
- Expand professional networks in Australia and overseas.
- Build a comparative perspective on issues including; transitions in education, moving between education and employment, the needs of young people in globalised economies.
What I will gain:
